Your bill has two parts. Ingest applies to every signal you send, metered by SignalControl at a flat rate. Each stage lowers what SignalStore indexes. Spam filters are configured directly from the tracing, logging, and metric explorers, and can be managed as infrastructure as code.

  • Set a Monthly Budget — Set a hard cap on your monthly invoice so you're never surprised by unexpected charges. Dash0 warns you as you approach the limit and provides a grace period before pausing ingestion.

  • Install the Cost Forecast Dashboards — Install the Dash0 Cost Forecast integration to visualize your telemetry usage and estimate future spend based on historical ingestion data. Break down costs by service, namespace, or resource type to identify what's driving your bill.

  • Understand Telemetry Ingestion Limits — Dash0 enforces fine-grained limits on the telemetry and configuration you send. These are designed to ensure platform stability and are unlikely to affect normal observability workloads.

  • Understand HTTP Rate Limits — Dash0 rate-limits its HTTP API to keep the platform stable and to share capacity fairly across organizations.
